Use Your Wellness Allowance on Personal Training — Singapore
For employees with a wellness or flexible-benefits allowance
Your company gave you a wellness allowance in January. Have you spent it?
Most people have not. It sits in a portal nobody opens, and at the end of the benefit year — usually 31 December, sometimes 31 March — whatever is left goes quietly back to the company.
Personal training is claimable under most fitness and wellness categories. The reason people do not claim it is almost never eligibility. It is that the trainer cannot produce an invoice their HR team will accept.
We can. That is most of what this page is about.

Straight answer first
We cannot promise your employer will approve it.
Every scheme has its own categories, caps and rules, and the claim is between you and your company. What we can promise is that the paperwork will not be the reason it gets bounced. Check your own policy before you commit to anything — and if you are not sure, send us the wording and we will tell you honestly whether we think it fits.
The paperwork, done properly
What you are actually claiming for
Two sessions a week with a certified coach who comes to you — your condo gym, your building, or outdoors near the office. No venue fee and no membership to buy, so none of your allowance disappears into a gym you will visit four times.
A programme built for someone who sits down for nine hours a day, plus calorie and protein targets worked out from your body with the maths shown, a certified dietitian, and guides written for eating out in Singapore rather than for someone who cooks every meal.
Most of our clients in the CBD, Marina Bay and one-north train before work or in the gap between the last meeting and dinner. Your coach travels; you do not.
Who you would be training with
AlmightyPT is a mobile personal training team covering all of Singapore. Our head coach prepared Singapore national team athletes for the SEA Games. Every coach is certified and vetted, every client gets a certified dietitian, and we cover gym fees at over 150 locations. If you do not get on with your coach you get a different one — written into the Refund and Cancellation Policy.
About the cost
Tell us your allowance and we will build to it.
This is the one thing we would rather quote backwards. Send us what you have to spend and how your scheme pays out, and we will show you what it covers outright and what, if anything, you would be topping up — before you commit to a single session.
Start with one session, S$99, which is itself claimable under most schemes. You leave with a written plan and an itemised quote, and the S$99 comes off whatever you start.
Questions people ask before claiming
Will my company definitely reimburse this?
We cannot say, and we would be lying if we did — it depends entirely on your scheme. Look for a fitness, wellness, or health and lifestyle category in your benefits portal. If the wording is ambiguous, send it to us and we will give you our honest read before you spend anything.
My allowance is smaller than a full programme.
That is the normal case, not the awkward one. We size a block to sit inside what you have, you claim that, and you decide afterwards whether to carry on with the rest out of pocket. Nobody is asking you to commit to more than your allowance covers.
When does my benefit year actually end?
Most Singapore schemes run to 31 December, a good number to 31 March, and a few to your own joining anniversary. Check the portal — and if you are reading this in the last quarter of the year, check today rather than in December, because sessions have to be delivered and invoiced before your deadline, not just booked.
Do you invoice me or my company?
Whichever your scheme needs. Most people pay us and claim it back, so the invoice is addressed to them. Some companies pay us directly — that works too, we just need the billing details and any PO reference up front.
Can I claim online coaching instead?
Usually yes, and it tends to sit comfortably inside a smaller allowance. Same programming and the same dietitian, month to month, cancel any time — see the programmes page for what each tier includes.
Is the S$99 assessment claimable too?
Under most schemes, yes — it is a paid fitness service and it comes with a proper invoice like everything else. It is also credited against whatever you start afterwards, so it is not money spent twice.
It is already yours. It just expires.
